Currently we're waiting to find out if Tom gets accepted into the Applied Positive Psychology program at the University of Pennsylvania. For obvious reasons, we're hoping that he does. He should find out around June-ish, and the program starts this fall. It's an interesting set up, this program. It lasts a year, and classes are only held once a month. The rest of the time is considered at-home and online study. Apparently, some people just commute. So there's a chance that we wouldn't have to throw all our stuff in a truck and trek across America. I suppose we'll entertain whether to move or not when we know if he's accepted or not.
I started my job this past week. Getting back into a working schedule has been slightly more trying than I anticipated. But alas, I've been thrown into the world of crafting and I suppose there's no turning back. So far, all I've really done is revamp the company's blog: Oh My Crafts. The writer behind all the mysterious postings is yours truly. Hey, if you want, you could even follow it, and then I'd feel good about myself and my impact on the world. And in other news regarding my job, I had the pleasure of learning that the first Saturday in May just so happens to be National Scrapbooking Day. I've already taken the liberty of scheming in honor of the big day. Now, I won't say much about it, but I can assure you that this is going to be one of those "Giggling Season" occasions.
In other, other news:
• I've recently finished reading The Great and Terrible series. I had my doubts about it, but in the end I must admit that I appreciated it (okay, and I teared up at the end of book 3). For those of you that have no clue what I'm talking about, The Great and Terrible is a fictitious series about the last days. It is notably realistic because the author has a military background, so he sprinkles in plenty of army jargon—which was convincing enough to get me thinking about our preparation, or more appropriately, how unprepared we still are. Well anyway, Tom has started reading them now too, and we'll see what he has to say. He's the real book critic—not me.
In more other news:
• I've been entertaining the thought of a haircut (other than the polygamy look). Since the thought has entered my mind, this probably means that I will make a decision sometime within the next two years.
THE END.
(Now you understand why I choose to post sheep...)

Cut it! Cut it! (chanting) I've recently cut mine and it is so great to have a nice short haircut.
You are a good blogger, Season. I'm hooked!
If you guys move to Pennsylvania, we might follow . . . we'll fill you in later. I love your blog. I think short hair is super cute, however, I prefer mine long. I can't stand when it's too short to fit ALL of it into a ponytail. I cut it short then I always wish I had kept it at least shoulder length. Whatever you decide will be really cute.
That sounds like my kind of program. Your husband can get the training he needs, but you might not have to move across the country. I can't complain about our move, though. We have had a good time, and are in a good place. Good luck with the haircut decision. You'll look beautiful either way.
I can't believe you didn't know about National Scrapbook Day! It is like the best day ever!
I, too, am debating the haircut. I like it long enough to pull it back..right now, it just takes too long to even dry -- I just don't have time. And for the record - we are REALLY hoping that a move to PA happens for you guys...assuming it's the best thing for you, of course!
That sounds like one funked-out program! Do you commute THERE once a month?? Jerry said it sounds like an executive MBS. Is that so? Hmmmmm....hair. Just don't mess with the color! How are the sheep? I'm about to interview our llamas. Wish you were here to do the accompanying photo shoot. See you this weekend! Any chance Thomas wants his stuff out of the basement? We're thinking of getting creative down there.
mbA, that is.
Seaso - I totally loved the Great and Terrible series.... I was almost disappointed when I finished them, because reading them had been my something-for-just-myself-after-the-kids-are-in-bed (since Randy works nights) treat. But between reading those books, and some of the stuff I do and read for my calling - it had me more than a little freaked out.... And still, anytime I'm driving somewhere farther than easy-walking distance from home, I can't help think "If there were an EMP right now, what would be the best route to try to get home? Should I stick to the freeways, or side streets? Which would be less dangerous, etc.?" :)
Totally Season, totally awesome. I am your #1 fan now! I can't believe you found me. I am going to add you to mine so I can stalk you now. I was going to tell you... I have been in a class with Hyrum this semester. It was weird because I didn't know who he was until he started asking me questions and we figured out we had seen each other through you. Anyways, weird story but keep in touch!
