Still babeless, but...

Last night Tom Thomas and I went to a park and tossed around a frisbee. Now, you should know that I've never been too stellar with a frisbee. I despise ultimate frisbee (that's right—despise), and my frisbee golf skills are an embarrassment to my entire family. So if you can imagine an overdue, pregnant, way-less-than-mediocre frisbee player, then you've got a pretty good idea of how it all went down last night as I shuffled around chasing after a flying disc.

Basically I was free entertainment to everyone else at the park.

Today at my doctor appointment my nurse practitioner offered to do something ghastly to my membranes—in an effort to speed things along. But then she said, "Nah, nevermind," because apparently I went wide-eyed and terrified at the thought.

I am a
five.
star.
wimp.
Labor should be such an adventure.

I think I can relate to this baby's hesitation about joining this world. It's like getting out of a jacuzzi during the wintertime. That's the worst. So you just sit there getting all wrinkly—all to avoid the inevitable.

But alas, if she doesn't make up her mind soon, we'll be showing her the door on Monday. (Which would just so happen to make a certain someone's birthday dreams come true.)

So now the countdown's really begun. Maybe I should go play some more frisbee.

Oh yeah—notice anything different about my blog??
It's amazing the things you can come up with on a rainy day while waiting for contractions to start.

You should have let her go for it. Although...it doesn't always work (like two different times for me it DIDN'T work.) It's not a fun feeling for sure...but the hope it gives...well now.

I so badly hope it happens on Monday, but you already know that :) I promise to only be mildly disappointed if she comes on another day. I love the first family photo with the flowers - very cute! I'm so excited she's almost here!!! I'm also glad to find out that I'm not the only one who despises ultimate frisbee. Tag and I just got baseball gloves and have had fun teaching Lily how to play. I thought to myself that I am a fairly athletic person. I like most sports and even though I don't excel in any, I can definitely keep up enough to have fun. EXCEPT FOR ULTIMATE FRISBEE. I can't throw a frisbee or catch a frisbee to save my life and I don't enjoy trying. I finally came to terms with the fact that it's the one "sport" I truly dislike. Last summer I discovered a new favorite sport with you, Tom, Marilyn and Tag - Bear Lake inner tube tossing/ keep away. Now that's a lot of fun!
