Just sittin' here twirling my thinning hair.

Boy did we have a mighty fine time in California. The whole lot was there—all 26 of us. One member of the fam for each letter of the alphabet! (I'm "L," by the way.) We returned home just last night. Clara was so ready to be done with her car seat—I fear she may have written it off for good. I discovered that my gmail had been hacked and someone had sent out links—no doubt shady—to pretty much everyone I've ever glanced at. Talk about embarrassing. So google put their foot down and cut me off. You should have SEEN the heart attack I had when I went to check in on this here blog and read "this blog has been removed." Good grief. You leave technology by itself for one week and look what happens. (Mmm hmmmm...I went an entire WEEK without getting onto the internet. Is there some sort of medal for this? It wasn't as hard as I thought it might be.)

Well anyway, I fully intend to fill your bucket to the brim with ridiculous par-tic-u-lars of the trip. A play-by-play if you will. Details and family jokes that I know you couldn't care less about. Oh, and then pictures. Loads of pictures!! (Said in an evil-ish, ominous Halloween voice). But not to be a downer, but that'll have to happen another day. I'm currently swamped with life. I've got a huge OMC project to whip together, which unfortunately needs to be creatively brilliant. I've got a stack of spit-up scented laundry to get to. I've got an army of gnats to eradicate from my apartment, which I fear is a stronger breed than the crew from last summer. I'm really gonna need to bring my A-game this time, and unleash double the vinegar and dish soap. I've got a bed to make, a house to clean and a refrigerator to fill with groceries that I haven't shopped for yet. Plus, I need to respond to Aileen's e-mail for pete's sake. Oh, and my hair has finally started to fall out so I'm going to need to, I don't know, go buy a hair net or something. I'm totally booked.

So until we meet again, blog friends.

Thank you for including only one arm and one leg of mine. Seriously! I was very happy to be there with all you cute kids, but I DO NOT DO beach shots. We did have a blast though, and the sweet memories will last longer than all that beach sand we lugged back with us...and that's sayin' somethin'! Good times, to be sure!

Check your phone...you've got a billion and one texts from me. I have gnat traps (some of my own making) all over the counter since returning only 2 hours ago. So far...nuttin' is getting caught. HELP. I might lose my mind. If tomorrow doesn't show significant progress -- I'm pulling out all stops on hitting up Home Depot for FOGGER BABY!
