All together now: "Hee Haw."

Isn't October such a great month? I bet all the other months are totally jealous of October, because of its pleasant nature. Everyone always wants to be around October. Plus, October knows how to throw a great party.

Speaking of party animals. We went to a place called Hee Haw Farms with BFFs Nicole, Nate and Will. It's a little farm in Pleasant Grove with a pumpkin patch and petting zoo, both of which brought out Clara's tried-and-true wimpiness.
"It's scary," is her latest catch phrase. I say that like she didn't get that wimpy gene from me.

We couldn't have asked for a nicer night. Nice and brisk. Jackets were hardly required. Just another one of October's lovely attributes that makes September and January swoon with envy.

Clara can control Tom by yanking on his hair. We figure before too long she'll be able to teach him how to cook.

Maren wasn't too pleased with her hat. The difference between her and big sis? When Clara's unhappy about something, she exercises her lungs—been that way from day one. Maren is proving to be more passive. She just uses the stone-cold glare method to communicate her feelings. (Actually, this face is because of the flash from the camera. However, she really wasn't happy about the hat either.)

Clara wasn't a total wimp about all things. She rocked this slide like nobody's business. Me? I screamed like a little girl.

"It's heavy!" Her little muscles were a shakin'.

Also, some kind samaritan handed us some pumpkin vouchers when we arrived and we ended up getting four pumpkins for free. Hee haw! The downside of being on a farm is the potent animal stench that hung in the air. But it all worked out because Clara's been walking around with her little pumpkin ever since, and despite her inherent wimpiness, she had a grand time at Hee Haws.

Bless you, October. Thanks for bein' you.
