Blogging with a baby on my lap

So here's the thing. When you become a parent there's some paperwork you have to sign, agreeing that you promise to take a picture of your children in front of the Christmas tree in their cute matching clothes, and also that you promise to take a picture of the very first snowman your child builds.

You think I'm just making this up, but I'm not. These pictures just come with the part of being a parent.

Good thing Clara's got those cheeks to keep her warm for the winter.

So tonight's blog is brought to you by myself and Maren. After listening to her moan in her crib like a wounded animal for almost an hour I broke down and here she sits, sucking on various fingers—mine and hers—sleeves, and mouse pads. Maren usually isn't really down with bed time.

This makes it fairly difficult to type.

I never had this problem with Clara. Shoot, Clara went to bed at 5:30 at this age. Can you even believe how lucky I was?  Clara was always like, "Sleep? Sure! How about 14 hours??" These two girls fit the description of opposite to a T.

***We interrupt this blog post because Maren just pooped. ...All over. ***

***Cue the intermission music***

And we're back. In new clothes.

Oh dear—I do believe this post is headed nowhere, fast. I mean, all I wanted was to fulfill my duty as a parent and post Christmas tree and snowmen pictures.

Shall we just get back to that?

Well, I guess I'll be leaving. I mean, someone's gotta show miss Maren who the boss is around here. Plus, Tom and I are due to have a wrapping party. And by wrapping, I actually mean rapping. 'Cuz that's how we roll.

One more for the road though:

Seaz! I love your polka-dot tights! That's just one of many adoracute things in all your pictures. Tom should have been wearing his 'eating cookies like a boss' t-shirt under his suit coat. Those snowman are hilariously cute. Those kiddies are cute too. Love bunny's face. Cutest cheeks. ps: I want to see this rap.

How many ways can I say "adorable"? Not enough, that's for sure! I can't wait to see those two sweethearts.....in TWO DAYS! Hooray! Thanks for the post. I love you more than popsicles on a hot summer day or should I say more than hot chocolate on a cold winter day? It's pretty nippy for Las Vegas! See you soon!
