Best part of Clara's day: When Papa Tom Thomas finally comes to get her in the morning after she's been chillin' in her crib for who knows how long. (She wakes up and quietly hangs out and we're never quite sure just how long she's been awake.)
Best part of Tom's day: Going in to collect Clara in the morning, who's been patiently awaiting his arrival. She usually squeals and her little legs go all haywire.
Best part of my day: Feeding Clara her solids. It's a total circus. See the picture? My lips are pursed in total concentration.
Worst part of Clara's day: The two times each day when Mama Seaz wipes her face clean with a wash cloth. What is it with babies universally hating having their faces washed?
Worst part of Tom's day: Leaving for work. For some reason hateful, screaming, biting, scratching adolescents don't tickle his fancy.
Worst part of my day: Changing Clara's dirty diapers. Anyone got a gas mask I could borrow?
Best part of Clara's day: Jumping time. Even though she hasn't quite figured out what she's supposed to do. It's just one of those toys that glows with coolness.
Best part of Tom's day: Coming home—where he does not find hateful, screaming, biting, scratching adolescents.
Best part of my day: Feeding Clara her bottle before putting her to bed. She gets so sleepy and ends up turning all comatose-like and can hardly finish her bottle. And then I get so sleepy and turn all comatose-like and often we snooze together all cuddled on the couch.
Worst part of Clara's day: When Mama Seaz walks more than 2 feet away from her. Oh the agony!
Worst part of Tom's day: Being rejected, again, when he eagerly asks at 11 pm at night (every night), "Want to watch a movie??"
Worst part of my day: Glancing around my disheveled home and wondering where my cleaning skills went wrong.

The picture of her in the hat is SO cute! The hat looks the same color as her eyes and really makes them stand out. She's darling!
I'm so confused! Did you flip your living room??? Put Thomas in that jumper for an example. She'll catch on, and the exercise will be good for him.
Is it just me...and the fact that I am reading this after midnight...or is that picture of Clara in the jumper slightly distorted? Because if it's not...those are seriously the skinniest little legs I have ever seen. (And I did see Whitney as a baby as well.) Of course, Clara wasn't a 10 pounder at birth either and that is how we grow 'em...and you and Tom aren't large people...but still. I need clarification.
• Those legs are the real deal! They're little bird legs, huh?
• The living room looks flipped because the picture was taken with the Photobooth on our mac. (It must have been on some setting to flip the view)
• I do believe that Thomas exceeds the weight limit for the jumper. (no offense, Tom)
that 11 p.m. movie question is frequently asked [and frequently shut down] in our home as well. boys just don't get it. and is that our matchy-matchy shirt i see??
Could Clara be any cuter!!!??? She is the most darling little baby. I do think that she and Lucy need friendship bracelets! What a great idea :) I can't wait to see her over Thanksgiving. I'm excited to see you guys too, of course, but really I can't wait to get my hands on my little niece!
