We Eastered.
Clara picked up a new vocabulary word over the weekend: Chocolate. I guess that means our Easter was a success in the candy department. (When she says it, it sounds more like "Target." It was slightly confusing for a bit.)
We made a super quick jaunt down to Las Vegas for Easter weekend because my handsome little nephew got baptized.
Out of all the nieces and nephews I have, this is the first baptism I've been able to attend for any of them. Come to think of it—I'm not sure I've been to another baptism since my own? (Can that really be??) Anyway, it was lovely to be a part. Aren't 8-year-olds such fun? If I recall correctly, I loved being 8. It was a real hoot and a holler.
After the baptism we Eastered it up for the rest of the weekend. I dare say our little miss shows the early signs of a five-star easter-egg hunter. Mmm-hmmm. Picked herself up a whopping 9 good-lookin' eggs. All in her first try. I think with some practice she'll place in a top position by next year, at least.
And now. I give you: a glimpse at Clara's hair. I'll never cut it. Never! (Conspiratorial laugh). Plus, isn't she so pixie-like in that pretty little Easter dress?
And I also give you: another picture of Clara. Because a: can one ever have too many?, and b: I think her outfit rocks.
Since arriving back home Sunday night, Clara keeps asking for her cousins. Boy howdy, I wish we lived near family. Because cousins are a real hoot and a holler, you know?
Coincidentally, she also keeps asking for more beans.
(Jelly beans.)
It's like I said—Easter was a real success in the candy department.

Happy Easter. We had a nice long list of people to call on Easter but never got around to it. I love her hair :)
Ca--uteness! That's all I have to say.
Where did your baby go????? She's all growed up!!
I know!! Good thing we're having another one, 'cause we're fresh outta babies around here.
Maybe she was trying to say "Taggart?" I've been called "Target" more times than I can count.
