We decided to head up to Montpelier for the 4th of July to celebrate with Tom's fam. Shelly and Co. were in town too. So Tom took a few days off of work and we loaded up the car with licorice and crackers and were on our way.
Clara loved hanging out with her cousins, and boy howdy did I love that she had buddies to hang out with. This meant that I was able to go to the bathroom in peace for nearly four whole days! Also, Clara fell head over heels for Mugsy. I mean, it was true love. Although, I don't think such love was reciprocated on the part of Mugsy.
I think we'll have to frame this and hang it up in Clara's room. |
Bear Lake welcomed us warmly, looking all gorgeous and glassy blue—but despite it all, Clara was not a fan. Not one bit, no sir. She didn't like the sand—or the water—and was content to just chill in her kid-sized camper chair and watch while her cousins splashed around and built sand castles.
She was, however, a fan of the roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, so at least she's not completely off her rocker.
And hey! How about more pictures! Who would've thought?
Now that we're back home we're having an intensely lazy day because Clara's sick—like super miserable, cough-ridden, snot-infused, head-cold sick—and I'm sitting around keeping my fingers crossed that I will go into labor—soon. I am slightly sure that I'll die if I have to wait until July 30.

So many awesome birthdays at the end of July! You just might be lucky to have her on one of them!
I think I just fell head over heels for Mugsy too. Who wouldn't wearing that cute little hat?!!! Also, next time you go to Bear Lake I think you should consider bringing me along as baby-sitter and lady in waiting.
I'm sorry...but you are not allowed to go into labor until I am safely planted back in Ohio. And PS -- where the heck are you putting that baby? You are stinkin' tiny. I'm not sure why I had to gain all the weight for you and Mitzi as well as my own. So totally not fair. Your shadow looks great.
