Once upon a Vegas in April

One of the things I meant to include in my post from last night—but then it got too late and my eyelids got all droop-like—was some pictures from our trip to Vegas last month. Last month Tom was at work more than he was at home (his project is top secret too; ie. he's not allowed to talk about it.) (It's like he works for the CIA... ...only he doesn't) (...or does he?) so I thought it was as good a time as any to take the girls and spend some time with my fam.

Can we pause just long enough to talk about how long and noodle-ey Maren's arms look? She's like Elastigirl, and this picture is proof.

We visited the new Children's Discovery Museum, which was fabulous, believe me. Cousin Connor joined us, and that made it that much more fun. He's great—trust me, you'd want to be friends with him. One of the rooms had this fantastic pirate ship and castle and dress ups—I know!—and Connor, dressed in his finest pirate garb, was busying himself with constructing a pirate ship out of some blocks provided. But suddenly he exclaimed, "I don't have time for this. I've got a war to fight." In a flash he dropped his blocks and scurried off, collecting loose cannonballs along the way.  I never heard an actual report on it, but I can only assume his battle was a success—what with the passion he had and all.

They could have easily spent their entire stay in the water room. Because, I mean, whenever you combine playpen balls with anything, life is complete. (Sudden flashbacks to my senior year in highschool when I drove around with 300 playpen balls in my car. I recommend that everyone try it. It's a complete overabundance of fun.) Just look at this water room!

Basically, I'd prefer to live at the Children's Museum. I won't rest until I get to go back and play at the supermarket some more. Because we all know how much I love a good supermarket. Especially when it's stocked full of play food.

We didn't even make it to the art room, and only had about 5 minutes in the car-making, parachute-making room.  I vow to return, Discovery Museum!

The rest of the week included basking in the gorgeous Vegas sun, attending the renowned Kris Purcell preschool, a little kite-flying action, and cousins. Oh, hooo-ray for cousins!

I'm pretty sure we figured out what Tom has been up to. wink wink. I don't want the CIA coming after me though, so I'll leave it at that :) All joking aside, we look forward to seeing you guys this summer. Hopefully, Tom's work schedule will slow down enough for a little time on Bear Lake.

So much fun! I hate to wish a rugged work schedule on Tom again any time soon, so I guess the whole bunch of you better just come on down for another visit right away! Never can get enough of you cuties.....
